Island
West Golf Course is a collaboration by architect Clyde Johnston
and popular Tour star Fuzzy Zoeller, a former U.S. Open and
Masters champion. Nominated for Golf Digest’s “Best New
Course of the Year” in 1992, this course was designed to allow
mid to high handicapper golfers an opportunity and in addition,
to provide a challenge for those more seasoned to gamble on
shot placement. Scenic marshside views with elevated tees and
wide-open, rolling fairways dominate the terrain. The signature
holes are #8 and #17, both par 3's, and both requiring tee shots
over lakes to double-tiered greens. |
